This is a Long One!

Things are changing so fast, I can’t keep up! To keep this as short as possible, I’m going to try bullet points with pictures at the end of the post
(friends only for privacy of others)

Gabriella

· Gabriella is 9 months (well almost 10, but I forgot to do a 9 month update, so pretend)

· She weighs 19.5lbs and 29.5 inches. That’s 2lbs and 2 inches since 6 months. She’s skinny-ing up, taking after (pre-baby) momma!

· She is walking like crazy, but still doesn’t seem to be using it most of the time as a tool to get places, it’s mostly just a game at this point. Although she was walking everywhere at mywildkids’s house yesterday!

· She says “mama” and “dada” as words, she also just started saying “nuh” doesn’t mean anything yet, but it’s a new sound

· Her raspberries are now more than her way of whining, she also doesn’t to entertain herself. It’s nice to enjoy her doing that finally

· She’ll put her hands on top of her head and look at you all demurely, can’t be mad at her when she does it and she knows it

· She’s got 2 teeth, and #3 is right there, but it won’t cut. Lucky she’s such a good teether. She is usually “off” but not screaming for hours on end. And she went through a crazy biting obsession about a week ago. It got to the point that I am convinced she was getting no milk because of how tense I was. That was awful (mostly my emotional upset then the actual pain)

· It looks like we have thrush again (or it never went away); She’s got a white spot in her mouth, and that rashy spot is back on her chin. FUCK! I’m being told I need to suck it up and find a doc for Diflucan (luv ya’s), but damnit that’s going to cost me probably over a hundred dollars (I haven’t used my prescription coverage this year, so I have to meet the deductible)

· There’s not much else going with her, she’s concentrating so hard on walking, she’s not doing anything else

Myriam

· She recovered from her flu, that was pretty hardcore I have to say

· I’m still not happy about her performance at school. I’m going to have to knock down some doors to get her some damn attention.

· Also, I got the summer school booklet, I need to talk to her teacher about whether she can get into the summer program (it’s for kids who are having a hard time holding their heads above water, so that they don’t take the entire summer off)

· She’s still a skinny Minnie J it’s too funny, but frustrating, wish I had time to make her some shorts that fit and aren’t daisy dukes

Patrick

· I don’t think there’s anything to say here

· I am loving the work I am doing. I am tired, but it’s great that I am able to help the family out with out sending my kids off.

· With my new found income I have done a couple of things: I ordered our Christmas cards I never ordered. I have Coke points, and one thing you can do with them is order stuff from Kodak. So I just pay shipping! I also ordered an 8×10 collage of Myriam in front of the cows at Prime Outlets in Williamsburg, and a 16×20 of her with my mom and step-dad at the beach. Framing that is going to be an adventure and I kind of wish I had ordered the 20×30. Maybe I still will, those are one the Coke codes list too J I also had some prints printed at my in-laws local WalMart, so I could make sure he had some to take to Texas with him

· I have a wishlist that I am putting things on and I can only make purchases from that. This way, I actually buy the things I want/need instead of going shopping crazy.

· I joined NINO thanks to sblmnldrknss. I have been connecting with other area moms who have the same parenting style and it feels good. I can’t wait ‘till the first meeting I can make it to!

· We went to DC on Saturday to do the Cherry Blossom thing, and while everyone got sunburned, I got sun poisoning. I don’t understand. We were out for only 4 hours, and while I know that’s a long time in the dermatological world of sun exposure, I didn’t get crispy or anything, the irritation was gone by Monday. I’ve been burnt much worse and not gotten poisoned by it. So, now I am in the market for a nice sun hat, that doesn’t have a brim in the back as I wear the baby on my back. I really am quite curious as to why I got so sick, what was so different this time compared to other times?

· Oh and I ordered from that Amber necklace co-op that I posted about; well I mucked up the payment since I was using a new pp account. I sent her an e-check. So she cancelled the payment and I resent it as funded/instant transfer. Well, according to my bank, pp took the money twice. According to pp, it was only taken once. I have $100 dollars in overdraft fees (plus the double charge). I am so damned upset, and I don’t know where to start with fixing this. I have been freaking anal about using my account this time around (it was inactive while I wasn’t working) and this crap happens. What a deal that necklace is, not that I am blaming dolcedaze, I’m just annoyed that I bought the damned thing because it was such a good deal, and now it’s possibly costing me WAY TOO MUCH!

Yesterday, sblmnldrknssand I met up with another girl (don’t want to use her name) from the NINO group (who apparently now has an LJ after yesterday, but I don’t know the username J) at Frying Pan Farm, took the big kids around to see the animals. Myriam HATED the smell, so not such a wonderful activity for her I guess L Then we all sat down and had a picnic. And TALKED. I have never talked like that with anyone other than Meghan and my sister. Then the other girl had to take off (sleepy baby) and sblmnldrknssand I headed off to Target, then to the playground to burn some time and let the big kids get some playground time. After that, we headed to mywildkids’ house to drop off stuff for the twins. I’m so glad I was able to give that stuff to someone who really needed it. And thank you for having us over for such a long time! Those babies are so cute, and I’ve never felt so violent towards a person as I do when I think about those sweet little girls. I’m praying the system works the way it’s supposed to for those girls.
